Tatting flowers

I was not born with a green thumb.  I was raised by parents who were enthusiastic gardeners.  There were always plants and flowers around our house and yard when I was a child.

Early in my adult life, after some sad attempts at supporting houseplants, I realized that I am much better at nurturing a garden made of thread, yarn and fabric.

After learning how to shuttle tat, it became almost an obsession to find every pattern for tatted flowers I could lay my hands on.

My first explorations for patterns led me to Fantasy Flowers by Pat Stevens (2004).

Several years and thousands of tatted practice flowers later, I found Linda S Davies' website.  It was from Linda's amazing patterns that I created the flowers you see in my header picture.

I hope to show you, in future posts, more of my creations.  Perhaps my experiments will inspire you to find the way into your own garden.  The sun always shines there. 😀

Thank you for visiting and have a wonderful day!
