The "math" and other attributes of tatting

Tatting and photo by Jeanne Swartz
(Pattern inspired by Jane Eborall's "Crystal Snowflake")

This tatted snowflake has 576 knots in it.

When I was still participating in craft shows, I displayed this on my table to share with people, unfamiliar with tatting, the true fact.....this is a slow art, requiring patience.

It can, however, become yoga in thread........the mantra being....flip the knot, flip the knot, flip the knot.... those who tat already.....know.

Joking aside, tatting and the repetitive actions it requires have provided me something to focus on countless times; plus it is very handy to carry everywhere! 😀

Thank you for visiting and have a wonderful day!
